Walk a Mile in These Darlin
Shoes. Some believe that this five letter word is what keeps a woman sane throughout her life. While it is true that many women overspend on shoes -and have entire closets dedicated to shoes- it surely isn’t all that outrageous, right? Somehow, the feeling of being proven wrong is waiting in the shadows…
Boots, sneakers, heels, platforms; just a few styles a women will wear in her lifetime. Nothing drastic, right? Well, designers are taking more drastic steps to make sure women look good in every step she takes. Are they always comfortable? Goodness no. What’s the point of beauty if it doesn’t hurt?
Below are some of the more drastic styles women have reached for when shopping for their shoes in 2012.
Lobster Shoes
While Drag Queens have been known to pull these bad boys out for shoes, Lady Gaga has decided to claim these as her own. With the shape of a lobster claw, these daring heels will surely draw the attention of everyone. Alexander McQueen started this trend, and some are amazed how one can walk in these monsters. With some at 10 inches tall, it’s a wonder anyone would, or could, wear these.
I’ll take a Walker with These As Well Please
Glass Slippers
Cinderella has come to life with these heels. Although whoever loses this shoe will have no problems being spotting in a crowd. Unlike the Alexander McQueen lobster heels, these heels are about average height, so one doesn’t have to worry about breaking their neck while walking! Andreia Chaves felt the need to have fairy tale come to life with these shoes. Just imagine what one could see with these heels.
Spiked Heels
While the 80’s held onto studded leather jackets, the trend for 2012 is now using studs and spikes in a different way. As if heels weren’t dangerous on their own with the new styles, they’re even worse now. Spiked heels are usually paired with a leather base, or in a velvet plaid pattern, making the Goth girls go crazy for these duds. These heels can be used as heels, or a beating devise when a night out goes wrong! Wonder how long it will take before these become banned at the local club?
Remind Me to NOT Make This Girl Mad
Furry Shoes
While Uggs have brought back the fur lined boots, there are those who are taking fur to the next level. There’s a little tiger in all of us, and these shoes really fit the bill. Covered in what looks like real cat fur, feels like a short haired cat, these animal printed heels are sure to get one some attention. Just don’t let PETA get a hold of them, you might never get them back.
Many women go through daring leaps and bounds to look their best, or to always be in the spotlight, and these shoes are bound to always impress. So if the club is calling or the red carpet needs a new look, try a pair of these heels on. Surely the paparazzi will be stalking you when they get a load of these heels.
